Description

Vanilla Cinnamon Milk Tea is a cozy and flavorful beverage made with black tea, creamy milk, fragrant vanilla, and warm cinnamon. Perfect for comforting evenings or a sweet afternoon pick-me-up.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 teaspoons loose leaf black tea or 2 tea bags
  • 1 cup (240 ml) water
  • 1 cup (240 ml) milk (whole, almond, oat, or your choice)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (plus extra for garnish)
  • 12 tablespoons sugar
  • A pinch of nutmeg (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients: black tea, water, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, sugar, and nutmeg.
  2. Boil 1 cup of water in a saucepan, remove from heat, and steep the black tea for 3-5 minutes (depending on strength preference).
  3. Strain the tea or remove tea bags. In the same saucepan, heat 1 cup of milk over medium heat until warm but not boiling.
  4. Add the brewed tea back into the saucepan. Stir in vanilla extract and ground cinnamon.
  5. Mix well. For a frothy texture, whisk or use a milk frother.
  6. Sweeten with 1-2 tablespoons sugar, adjusting to taste, and stir until dissolved.
  7. Pour into a mug, garnish with extra cinnamon and a pinch of nutmeg. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, substitute milk with almond, oat, or coconut milk. To make it iced, brew a stronger tea, let it cool, mix with milk, vanilla, and cinnamon, then pour over ice.
