Ingredients

  • 1 can (21 oz) strawberry pie filling
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, cubed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar (optional)
  • Whipped cream, for topping
  • Fresh strawberries, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. Distribute the cubed cream cheese evenly over the pie filling.
  4. Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix over the top – do not mix in.
  5. Drizzle melted butter evenly across the entire surface of the cake mix.
  6. Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden and the edges are bubbling.
  7. Let it cool slightly before serving. Serve warm for a gooey dessert or chill for a firmer texture.

Notes
