Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can (21 oz) strawberry pie filling
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, cubed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar (optional)
- Whipped cream, for topping
- Fresh strawberries, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Distribute the cubed cream cheese evenly over the pie filling.
- Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix over the top – do not mix in.
- Drizzle melted butter evenly across the entire surface of the cake mix.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden and the edges are bubbling.
- Let it cool slightly before serving. Serve warm for a gooey dessert or chill for a firmer texture.
Notes
Top with whipped cream, fresh strawberries, chocolate or caramel drizzle, or powdered sugar for a bakery-style presentation. Use a clear dish or serve in jars for parties. Try adding blueberries for a 4th of July twist.
