  • Author: Georgina sami
  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

A cozy, comforting one-pan dinner with buttery noodles and juicy seared chicken — easy enough for weeknights, satisfying enough for Sunday dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • Fresh parsley or thyme for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season chicken generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes per side depending on thickness. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  5. Add egg noodles and stir occasionally, letting them simmer and absorb the broth (about 8-10 minutes).
  6. Once noodles are tender, stir in butter and garlic powder (if using).
  7. Slice cooked chicken and return to pan over the noodles.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley or thyme before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, top with grated Parmesan or a squeeze of lemon. You can also add peas, spinach, or broccoli during the last few minutes of cooking.
