  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Wash, core, and dice apples into small pieces.
  3. In a large bowl, mix rolled oats, baking powder, cinnamon, brown sugar, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, whisk milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  5. Combine wet and dry ingredients, then fold in apples and walnuts.
  6. Pour mixture into baking dish and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 35–40 minutes, until golden and set.
  8. Cool for 10 minutes before cutting into squares and serving warm.

Notes
