  • ½ cup hot coffee
  • ½ cup melted dark chocolate
  • 1 cup shelled pistachios (finely ground)
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp rosewater (optional)
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream or cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • ¼ cup melted chocolate
  • ½ cup crushed pistachios
  • Edible gold flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two 8-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add butter, eggs, and buttermilk. Beat until smooth.
  4. Fold in melted chocolate and hot coffee until batter is slightly runny.
  5. Divide batter into pans and bake for 30–35 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes in pan, then on wire rack.
  6. For the filling, blend pistachios and powdered sugar, fold in whipped cream, and add rosewater if desired.
  7. Spread pistachio filling between cooled cake layers.
  8. For the frosting, whip heavy cream or cream cheese with cocoa powder and melted chocolate.
  9. Frost the cake and smooth with spatula. Chill briefly for clean presentation.
  10. Garnish with crushed pistachios, chocolate drips, and gold flakes for the authentic Dubai touch.
