Rich, fudgy chocolate brownies layered with silky pistachio cream, crunchy golden kataifi, and a glossy chocolate drizzle — the viral Dubai dessert sensation.

- ½ cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
- 2 tbsp semi-sweet chocolate chips (for melting)
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- ½ tbsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp sea salt
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ¼ cup + 2 tbsp all-purpose flour (sifted)
- ⅓ cup chocolate chips (fold-in)
- 1 cup kataifi dough, chopped
- 2 tbsp butter (for toasting kataifi)
- ½ cup pistachio cream
- 1 tsp tahini (optional)
- Pinch of sea salt
- ¾ cup chocolate chips (for topping)
- 2 tbsp butter (for topping)
- 2 tbsp pistachio cream (for drizzle)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper and lightly grease.
- Melt butter with 2 tbsp chocolate chips. Stir until smooth.
- Mix in sugars, then add eggs one at a time. Stir well.
- Add vanilla extract and salt. Sift in cocoa powder and flour. Mix until smooth.
- Fold in ⅓ cup chocolate chips. Pour into pan and bake 23–25 minutes. Cool completely.
- Toast chopped kataifi in butter until golden and crisp. Cool.
- Combine pistachio cream, tahini, and salt. Fold in toasted kataifi. Spread evenly over brownie layer.
- Melt chocolate chips with butter until smooth. Pour over pistachio-kataifi layer and spread evenly.
- Warm pistachio cream and drizzle over top. Chill at least 1 hour before slicing.
Notes
For clean cuts, dip a sharp knife in hot water and wipe between slices. Use high-quality pistachio cream for best flavor.
