Dubai Chocolate Balls – The Viral Dessert Everyone’s Talking About

  • Author: Georgina sami
  • Total Time: 2 hours 30 minutes
  • Yield: 8 chocolate balls 1x

Description

Dubai Chocolate Balls are the ultimate viral dessert sensation, filled with exotic Middle Eastern flavors like kunafa, pistachio butter, and date caramel—all wrapped in a glossy shell of luxury chocolate and often dusted with edible gold.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 300g high-quality dark chocolate (70% or Belgian)
  • 50g white chocolate (for drizzle or decoration)
  • 100g pistachio butter or paste
  • 1 cup toasted kunafa (shredded phyllo pastry)
  • 2 tbsp condensed milk
  • ¼ cup crushed nuts (optional)
  • Edible gold leaf or gold dust (optional)
  • 1 tray (large) silicone ball molds

Instructions

  1. Melt dark chocolate using a double boiler or microwave in 30-second intervals. Stir until smooth.
  2. Using a spoon or pastry brush, coat the inside of each silicone mold cavity with melted chocolate. Chill for 10 minutes. Apply a second coat and chill again until firm.
  3. Mix pistachio butter, toasted kunafa, condensed milk, and nuts into a thick paste.
  4. Once the chocolate shells are set, spoon the filling into each cavity, leaving space to seal.
  5. Add a layer of melted chocolate over the filling to seal each mold. Refrigerate until completely firm (about 1.5 to 2 hours).
  6. Gently remove the chocolate balls from the mold. Drizzle with white chocolate and apply gold leaf or dust.
  7. Serve them chilled for the best texture contrast.

Notes

You can swap the filling with date caramel, Nutella, or saffron cream for your own twist. Store them in the fridge for up to a week or freeze for longer storage.
