- 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let sit 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add sugar, melted butter, and eggs. Stir to combine.
- Gradually mix in flour and salt until a soft dough forms.
- Knead dough on floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth. Place in greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour until doubled.
- In a bowl, mix blueberries, brown sugar, cinnamon, and softened butter to make the filling.
- Punch down dough, roll out into a rectangle ¼ inch thick.
- Spread blueberry filling evenly over dough, leaving a border around edges.
- Roll tightly from one long side into a log. Pinch seam to seal.
- Cut into 12 equal rolls and place in greased baking dish. Let rise 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make icing. Drizzle over warm rolls.
