Description

Delicious Baklava Rolls filled with nuts and honey.


Ingredients

  • 1 package of phyllo dough
  • 2 cups of mixed nuts (walnuts, pistachios, almonds)
  • 1 cup of unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup of honey
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Chop the mixed nuts finely.
  3. In a bowl, combine the nuts, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.
  4. Lay one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean surface and brush it with melted butter.
  5. Place another sheet on top and brush with more butter.
  6. Spread a line of nut mixture along one edge of the dough.
  7. Roll the dough tightly around the filling.
  8. Place the roll on a greased baking sheet.
  9. Repeat with the remaining phyllo and filling.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  11. While baking, combine honey and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  12. Remove from heat and pour over the hot baklava rolls when they come out of the oven.
