Description
Delicious Baklava Rolls filled with nuts and honey.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package of phyllo dough
- 2 cups of mixed nuts (walnuts, pistachios, almonds)
- 1 cup of unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup of honey
- 1 cup of water
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Chop the mixed nuts finely.
- In a bowl, combine the nuts, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.
- Lay one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean surface and brush it with melted butter.
- Place another sheet on top and brush with more butter.
- Spread a line of nut mixture along one edge of the dough.
- Roll the dough tightly around the filling.
- Place the roll on a greased baking sheet.
- Repeat with the remaining phyllo and filling.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- While baking, combine honey and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat and pour over the hot baklava rolls when they come out of the oven.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- Baklava rolls can be served warm or at room temperature.
- Adjust nut types as per your preference.
