Description

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a bundt pan thoroughly with butter or non-stick spray and dust lightly with flour.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and mix in milk and melted butter until smooth.
  4. Gradually combine wet and dry ingredients, stirring gently until just mixed. Do not overmix.
  5. Fold in chopped nuts and cinnamon until evenly distributed in the batter.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before inverting onto a serving plate.
  9. While the cake cools, prepare the syrup: in a saucepan, combine sugar, water, honey, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Bring to a gentle boil, then simmer for 5-7 minutes until slightly thickened.
  10. Drizzle the cooled syrup over the warm cake and allow it to soak in for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Ensure proper greasing of the bundt pan to prevent sticking. Let the syrup cool slightly before drizzling to avoid making the cake soggy.
